CARING FOR RELICS:

Caring for your Saif Latif Relics is quite simple when following standard fine jewelry care practices - with an added twist.
Remove your jewelry during certain activities such as cleaning, swimming and exercising. Avoid letting your jewelry come into contact with harsh household chemicals like hairspray, chlorine, and hand sanitizer, and make sure to store your jewelry in a safe dry place. Storing your pieces individually in the included microfiber pouch will protect it from the elements, scratches, and scuffs.
Please note that certain stones are more delicate than others. Moonstones, Turquoise and Pearls need some extra attention to keep them in pristine condition. Turquoise, for example, should not be cleaned with a brush but a soft cloth or even your finger. Pearls should be stored flat and separate from other objects that may scratch their surface. A good wipe down of your stones after wear can also help to avoid any buildup of oils or other substances. Do not expose your Moonstone, Turquoise, and Pearls to alcohol and chemical based substances such as hand sanitizer and perfume. As with perfumes and hairspray, the alcohol in hand sanitizer can change the surface of your delicate stones. With exposure to these chemicals, the two noticeable differences being a loss of luster and a change in color.
Due to the antique nature of many of the relics, please wear with caution and extreme care. These objects are *literally* thousands of years old, and should be handled gently. We cannot mend or repair any damage to the antiquities.
Lastly, please remember to insure your Saif Latif Relics, as they are a unique piece of history that can never be replaced or replicated!

To increase the longevity of your jewels, follow the same rules as above,
Our 18kt gold vermeil jewelry can scratch easily, and lose its shine over time with wear and can be gently polished with a jewelry cloth. Please do not apply any water, cleaning solutions, or chemicals to your Saif Latif pieces as this will wear away the 18kt vermeil. With proper care, your pieces can last many years. And even after those years pass, all our pieces will gain an antique patina, only enriching their historical grounding.
To Store All Your Jewelry:
To care for the jewelry and refrain from tarnishing, store them in a dry area. The smallest amount of moisture in the air can lead to tarnishing, so store the jewelry in a jewelry box or pouch. If the jewelry comes in contact with water, perfume, sweat, or any other form of moisture, be sure to wipe and dry the piece.
